It is not recommended to machine wash these shoes, as it can damage the materials and the adhesive. Spot cleaning is the best method.
These trainers feature a classic flat sole design with minimal built-in arch support.
Measure the child's foot from heel to toe and compare it to the standard UK sizing guide provided by Converse.
While they are durable, the canvas upper is not waterproof and may absorb water, so they are best suited for dry conditions.
The lace-up design allows for some width adjustment, though the canvas construction is relatively slim-fitting.
Double-knot the laces or swap for elastic no-tie laces if the child struggles with traditional knots.
Use a soft brush and a gentle fabric cleaner to spot-treat the area, then dab dry with a clean towel.
Use a specialized rubber cleaner or a mixture of baking soda and water on a toothbrush to restore the white or clean look of the sole.
To ensure the best fit, ensure the laces are adjusted to accommodate the child's foot width without cutting off circulation. For cleaning, wipe the rubber sole with a damp cloth to remove mud or dirt. The fabric upper can be spot-cleaned with mild soap and water; avoid machine washing to maintain the structural integrity of the glue and canvas materials. Allow the shoes to air dry naturally away from direct heat sources to prevent the rubber from warping or the adhesive from loosening.
