Full details

The VEVOR Fruit Wine Press (6 L) is designed for home hobbyists and food enthusiasts who want to extract juice from fruits like apples, grapes, and olives, or process honey and tinctures in small batches. FAQs

Can this press be used for olives?

Yes, but olives should be pitted and crushed into a paste before pressing for the best results.

Is the material safe for food?

Yes, the beechwood used is designed for food preparation.

Does it come with a collection bag?

The kit focuses on the press structure; you may need to use a fine-mesh filter bag inside the basket for smaller pulps.

How much fruit can I process at once?

The basket capacity is 6 liters, which is ideal for small home-batch processing.

Can I put the wooden parts in the dishwasher?

No, the wooden slats should only be hand-washed to prevent warping and cracking.

What is the total height of the unit?

The total height is 575 mm.

Troubleshooting

The handle is difficult to turn

Check if the fruit is too hard or not pulped enough. Ensure the spindle threads are clean and lubricated.

Juice is leaking from the sides of the basket

Ensure the supporting blocks are evenly spaced and the wooden slats are pushed tightly together before pressing.

The wood is showing signs of mold

Disinfect with a light vinegar solution, scrub thoroughly, and ensure the unit is stored in a dry, ventilated area.

Pros and Cons

Pros

No electricity required for operation
Durable and high-quality beechwood materials
Compact vertical design saves counter space
Easy to assemble and disassemble for storage
Versatile use for fruit, honey, and herbal tinctures

Cons

Manual pressing requires significant physical effort
Not suitable for high-volume commercial production
Wood requires specific care to prevent warping or mold

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Assembly is straightforward and requires no complex tools; simply align the central spindle with the base and insert the beechwood slats into the frame.

Compatibility: This press is compatible with various soft fruits and pulped hard fruits. Avoid attempting to press whole, hard fruits without prior crushing or dicing, as this can damage the wooden basket.

Care Instructions:

Cleaning: Always wash the wooden slats and the base thoroughly with warm water and a mild detergent immediately after use.
Drying: Air dry all wooden components completely before storage. Do not leave the wood wet, as this leads to mold growth and wood swelling.
Maintenance: Periodically check the mechanical threads on the spindle and apply a food-safe lubricant to ensure the handle turns smoothly.
