How much sunlight does the Arthur Bell rose need?

This variety requires at least six hours of direct sunlight every day to bloom effectively.

Why does my plant have no leaves?

It prefers fertile, well-drained soil enriched with organic matter.

Troubleshooting

Plant looks like only bare stems upon arrival

This is expected during the September-April pruning period; plant it in fertile soil and it will sprout new growth in spring.

Yellowing leaves or lack of blooms

Check that the plant is receiving at least six hours of direct sunlight and that the soil drainage is sufficient.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Striking yellow blooms that add brightness to any garden.
Compact growth habit typical of Floribunda roses.
Adaptable to both large landscapes and smaller container gardens.
Professionally pruned for long-term plant health.

Cons

Ships in a temporary pot requiring immediate transplanting.
Expect minimal foliage if ordered during the autumn or winter pruning window.
Requires at least six hours of direct sunlight daily for optimal performance.

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Upon arrival, your plant should be moved from its temporary shipping container as soon as possible. Choose a permanent location that receives full sun, ideally six hours or more per day. When planting, incorporate organic compost into the native soil to boost fertility. Water regularly during the first growing season, ensuring the soil remains moist but not waterlogged. If your plant arrives between September and April, do not be alarmed by the lack of leaves; this is part of the seasonal pruning process intended to strengthen the plant's structure for the warmer months ahead.
