Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
This shed is designed for easy self-assembly. It is recommended to have at least two people for assembly due to the size and weight of the components. Ensure you have a level and stable foundation before starting. Follow the provided assembly instructions carefully, paying attention to the order of operations for structural integrity. The flexibility in door and window placement should be decided during the initial assembly stages.
Compatibility:
- Foundation: Requires a solid, level base (e.g., concrete slab, paving stones, or a timber frame base).
- Location: Choose a location with adequate space for the shed's footprint and for opening the door(s).
- Treatment: While pressure-treated, an additional exterior wood treatment can further extend its life and enhance aesthetic appeal, though it's not immediately required.
Care:
- Cleaning: Periodically clean the shed's exterior with a damp cloth to remove dirt and debris. Avoid using abrasive cleaners.
- Roof: Inspect the felt roof annually for any signs of damage or wear and tear. Replace sections if necessary to maintain waterproofing.
- Lock Maintenance: Lubricate the lock mechanism periodically to ensure smooth operation.
- Ventilation: Ensure adequate ventilation around the shed to prevent moisture buildup.
