Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure the longevity of your leather jacket, proper care is essential.
Setup and Fit:
Ensure you select the correct size, as the slim-fit cut is intended to sit close to the body. Use the adjustable belt to tighten the waist until the desired taper is achieved, and adjust the cuff zips before putting the jacket on to find your optimal wrist setting.
Maintenance:
- Cleaning: Wipe away surface dust with a soft, dry cloth. Never machine wash.
- Stain Removal: Consult a professional leather cleaner for any spills or deep stains; home chemicals can strip the finish.
- Storage: Hang the jacket on a broad-shouldered wooden hanger to maintain the shape. Keep it in a cool, dry area away from direct sunlight or extreme humidity to prevent cracking or fading.
- Conditioning: Use a leather conditioner formulated for high-quality hides once or twice a year to keep the material supple and prevent drying.
