FAQs

Is this jacket suitable for winter?

The Newport Jacket is a lightweight piece best suited for transitional weather. It does not provide significant insulation for deep winter temperatures.

How should I clean the jacket?

Does the hood detach?

No, the hood is integrated into the jacket's silhouette for a streamlined, sporty look.

What does regular fit mean?

The regular fit provides a standard cut that is neither too slim nor too oversized, offering a balance of comfort and a clean silhouette.

Can I wear this in heavy downpours?

The jacket is designed for light to moderate weather. While the material is waterproof, it is not a technical heavy-duty storm gear garment.

Where is the logo located?

The jacket features a subtle, refined round logo on the chest.

Troubleshooting

Zip feels stiff or sticks

Ensure no fabric is caught in the teeth and gently rub a small amount of paraffin wax or a pencil lead along the zip track.

Waterproofing seems less effective over time

The exterior may need a specialized water-repellent treatment spray designed for cotton outerwear to restore its protective barrier.

Setup, Compatibility & Care

To ensure the longevity of your Burberry Newport Jacket, proper maintenance is essential. While the material is waterproof, it is recommended to avoid heavy machine agitation. Always check the internal garment tag for specific wash instructions. Store the jacket on a structured hanger in a cool, dry place to maintain its shape. If the jacket is exposed to heavy rain, hang it up to air dry completely before storing it in a closet to prevent moisture buildup.
