FAQs

What is the maximum weight capacity for this chair?

The HOMCOM Office Chair is designed to safely support a maximum user weight of 120 kg.

Does this chair require assembly?

Yes, this office chair requires assembly. It comes with all the necessary parts and a step-by-step instruction manual to guide you through the process.

How do I clean the linen-feel fabric?

The linen-feel (100% Polyester) fabric can be spot cleaned. Use a damp cloth with a small amount of mild, pH-neutral detergent. Gently blot the stain, avoiding excessive rubbing or harsh chemicals.

What are the overall dimensions of the chair?

The overall dimensions of the chair are 63W x 65D x 109-119H cm. The seat measures 50W x 49D x 50-59.5H cm, and the back is 47W x 66H cm.

Does the chair fully recline?

The chair features a smooth tilt function that allows for a gentle rocking motion to relieve tension. It does not recline fully flat.

Are the wheels safe for all floor types?

The chair's wheels are designed for general use. For sensitive flooring such as hardwood or laminate, we recommend using a chair mat to prevent potential scratches or marks.

Is the fabric breathable for long hours?

Yes, the chair is upholstered in a breathable linen-feel fabric (100% Polyester), combined with foam padding, specifically chosen to keep you cool and comfortable even during extended periods of sitting.

Troubleshooting

Chair feels wobbly or unstable after assembly.

Ensure all bolts and screws connecting the backrest, seat, and base mechanism are securely tightened. Refer to the assembly manual to confirm proper installation sequence and that all parts are correctly aligned.

The seat height adjustment (gas lift) is not working.

Check if the gas lift lever is fully engaged or disengaged. Ensure the chair's weight capacity (120 kg) is not exceeded. If the issue persists, carefully inspect the gas lift cylinder for any damage or obstructions. Contact customer support if it appears faulty.

Wheels are not rolling smoothly or getting stuck.

Inspect the wheels for any accumulated debris such as hair, dust, or small particles. Carefully remove any obstructions. Ensure the chair is on a suitable surface; very thick carpets may naturally hinder wheel movement.

Chair makes squeaking noises.

Apply a small amount of silicone lubricant spray to the joints and connections of the chair's mechanism, particularly where metal parts meet. Check and tighten any loose bolts, as this often eliminates squeaking.

Setup Instructions

  1. Unpack Components: Carefully remove all parts from the box and lay them out. Verify all components are present against the included parts list.
  2. Assemble Base: Attach the wheels to the star base by pressing them firmly into the sockets. Then, insert the gas lift cylinder into the center hole of the base.
  3. Attach Seat Mechanism: Secure the seat mechanism to the underside of the seat cushion using the provided screws. Ensure the lever is on the correct side for easy access.
  4. Connect Backrest to Seat: Attach the backrest to the seat assembly using the designated screws. Do not fully tighten until all screws are in place.
  5. Mount Seat to Gas Lift: Carefully place the assembled seat and backrest onto the gas lift cylinder on the star base.

Product Care & Maintenance

  • Cleaning: The linen-feel (100% Polyester) fabric can be spot cleaned. Use a damp cloth with a small amount of mild, pH-neutral detergent for spills or marks. Blot the area gently; do not rub vigorously. Avoid harsh chemical cleaners or abrasive materials.
  • Frame Care: Wipe the steel frame and plastic components with a soft, damp cloth as needed.
  • Regular Checks: Periodically (e.g., every 3-6 months), check all screws and bolts for tightness. Re-tighten any that have loosened to ensure the chair remains stable and safe.
  • Wheel Maintenance: Keep the wheels free of hair, dust, and debris to ensure smooth rolling. You can periodically remove them to clean the axles if necessary.
