The exo-skeleton spines provide essential abrasion resistance and energy absorption for your fingers in the event of an impact.
While the focus is on protection and grip, standard operation of touchscreen devices may be limited depending on the interface; the focus of these gloves remains motorcycle control.
The SPS is a patented Knox feature that includes sliders on the palm to help the hand slide on the road rather than gripping, which prevents hyperextension and scaphoid injury.
Keep the dial free of grit and ensure the lace is seated correctly in the spool. Do not force the dial if it feels obstructed.
These gloves are primarily performance-oriented and do not feature thermal insulation, so they are best suited for spring, summer, and autumn riding.
Store them in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to prevent leather fading and material degradation.
Check for debris or dirt around the dial mechanism and clean gently with a soft brush.
Apply a high-quality leather conditioner and wear them for short durations to allow the leather to soften and conform to your hands.
To achieve the best fit, utilize the BOA dial by pressing it down and rotating clockwise until the cuff feels snug but not restrictive. For care, keep the drum-dyed leather clean by wiping away road debris with a damp, soft cloth after use. Avoid machine washing or using harsh chemical cleaners, as these can damage the leather finish and the structural integrity of the protective spines. If the gloves become saturated with rain, allow them to air dry slowly at room temperature, away from direct heat sources like radiators, to prevent the leather from cracking.
