A full charge can last up to 2 weeks with regular use (brushing twice a day for 2 minutes). You can keep it on the charger between uses, or simply recharge it when the battery indicator light signals low power.
Philips Sonicare brush heads have fading blue indicator bristles. When these bristles turn white, it's time to replace the brush head, typically every 3 months. The app may also provide reminders.
The toothbrush handle is water-resistant and designed to be rinsed under running water. However, it should not be submerged in water for extended periods, and the charging base is not waterproof.
While the handle can technically be used by multiple people, it's not recommended if you're using the app's personalized tracking features, as it will mix brushing data. If sharing, ensure each person uses their own brush head.
Apply a small amount of toothpaste to the wet brush head. Place the bristles against your teeth at a slight angle towards the gumline. Move the brush slowly across your teeth, allowing the sonic action to clean. The QuadPacer will alert you to move to the next quadrant of your mouth.
Unplug the charging base from the power outlet. Wipe the surface with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or submerge the base in water.
Ensure the handle is correctly seated on the charging base. Confirm the charger is plugged into a working outlet. If the issue persists after charging for 24 hours, contact customer support. Check if the power cord is damaged.
Make sure Bluetooth is enabled on your smartphone and the toothbrush is within range. Try restarting both the app and your phone. If still unresolved, try unpairing and re-pairing the toothbrush within the app settings. Ensure the app is updated to the latest version.
Replace the brush head; they should be replaced every 3 months or when bristles show wear. Ensure you are not applying excessive pressure during brushing, as this can wear out bristles faster and reduce cleaning effectiveness. Let the brush do the work.
Ensure the brush head is securely attached to the handle. A loose brush head can reduce vibration transfer. If the battery is low, performance may diminish, so ensure it's fully charged. If the problem persists, the internal mechanism might require service.
After each use, remove the brush head and rinse both the brush head and the top of the handle thoroughly under running water to remove any debris or toothpaste. Periodically clean the internal components around the shaft.
