FAQs
Is the material waterproof?
No, this top is designed for breathability and moisture-wicking rather than weatherproofing.
Can I wear this for yoga?
Yes, the regular fit and flexible polyester allow for a full range of movement required for yoga poses.
How should I wash the reflective parts?
Wash the garment inside out to protect the reflective strips from abrasion against other clothing.
Does this top provide UV protection?
While the fabric provides a barrier, it is not specifically rated for SPF/UPF protection.
Is the fit true to size?
Yes, it is designed with a regular fit; if you prefer a tighter feel, you may want to consider sizing down.
Troubleshooting
Zipper feels stiff or stuck
Ensure no loose fabric is caught in the zipper teeth and clean any grit or sweat residue from the mechanism.
Static buildup in fabric
Avoid tumble drying; air dry the garment and lightly mist with water if static persists.
Pros and Cons
Pros
- Lightweight fabric prevents overheating during runs
- Thumbholes ensure a secure and distraction-free fit
- Reflective accents enhance safety for early morning or evening training
- Adjustable neck zipper offers versatile climate control
Cons
- Regular fit may be less supportive than compression alternatives
- Yellow colorway requires more frequent washing to maintain brightness
- Limited to specific athletic use cases due to synthetic material
Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure the longevity of your MONTIREX top, wash with similar colors in a cool cycle to prevent color fading of the yellow fabric. Avoid using heavy fabric softeners as they can clog the breathability of the technical polyester fibers. Hang drying is recommended to maintain the integrity of the reflective materials and to prevent potential shrinking. The regular fit is designed to be true to size, making it compatible with most standard base layers if you choose to wear it as part of a multi-layer system.
