Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure your Joe Browns velvet top remains in pristine condition, avoid machine washing at high temperatures. It is recommended to hand wash or use a delicate cycle with a mild detergent to protect the lace trim and gold button finish. Always turn the garment inside out before washing to prevent snagging the lace or scratching the buttons. For drying, lay the top flat on a towel to air dry, as hanging velvet can lead to stretching or misshaping. Avoid using bleach, and if ironing is necessary, use a low heat setting on the reverse side of the fabric to avoid crushing the velvet pile.
