FAQs
Can I use standard plastic bags with this bin?
Yes, but standard bags may not be the exact size and might show around the rim; for a perfectly hidden look, use Brabantia's custom liners.
Is the bin dishwasher safe?
While the material is durable, we recommend hand washing with a damp cloth to preserve the finish and structural integrity.
Can this be used for general waste?
It is designed primarily for food and organic waste, but it can be used for small amounts of dry household waste as well.
Does it come with a wall mounting kit?
Yes, the product includes the necessary mounting hardware to attach it to a wall or cabinet door.
What does Cradle-to-Cradle certified mean?
It means the product is designed and manufactured with the circular economy in mind, focusing on safe materials and recyclability.
Troubleshooting
Lid feels loose or does not stay open
Check the hinge mechanism for trapped debris and ensure the lid is fully snapped back into the mounting grooves.
Bin liner slips down inside the bin
Ensure the top trim is fully depressed and snapped securely over the edge of the liner to hold it in place.

Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setting up the Sort & Go is straightforward. If wall-mounting, ensure you use the included bracket and hardware for a secure fit. For liner usage, Brabantia recommends their custom-fit bags to ensure the top trim successfully hides the bag edges. To maintain hygiene, the bin is made from smooth, durable plastic that can be wiped down with a damp cloth and mild soap. The lid is easily removable, making it simple to rinse the interior thoroughly after emptying food scraps.
