Product Information
Full details
The Nike Zoom Vomero 18 is designed for adult male runners seeking maximum comfort and a plush, cushioned ride during long-distance training or daily runs. By integrating a dual-foam system, these trainers provide exceptional impact protection; however, the soft, high-stack construction may feel less responsive for runners who prefer a firm, ground-feel sensation.

FAQs
Is the Zoom Vomero 18 suitable for trail running?
These trainers are primarily designed for road running. For technical trails, a model with a more aggressive lug pattern is recommended.
How do I ensure I have the right size?
Measure your feet at the end of the day when they are at their largest and consult the Nike size guide for UK 6.5 equivalents.
Does the ZoomX foam break down quickly?
ZoomX is a high-performance foam. While it offers excellent cushioning, its lifespan depends on running intensity and surface; it is generally reliable for standard training cycles.
Can I use custom orthotics with this shoe?
Yes, the factory insole is removable, allowing you to insert your own custom orthotics if needed.
Is this shoe good for flat feet?
The Vomero 18 provides significant cushioning, which is beneficial for many, but individuals with specific arch support needs should consult a professional to ensure the neutral platform matches their biomechanics.
Troubleshooting
Foot slipping inside the shoe
Adjust the laces using the top-most eyelet for a more secure 'heel lock' fit.
Upper material collecting dust
Use a soft brush to gently remove surface debris after every run to keep the breathability pores clear.
Feeling uneven wear on the sole
Check your gait patterns or consider replacing the insoles if the internal padding has compressed unevenly over time.
Pros and Cons
Pros
- Superior impact protection from stacked foam
- Highly breathable upper material
- Plush interior for long-duration comfort
- Smooth transition geometry
Cons
- Not suitable for those preferring minimalist/firm shoes
- Higher stack height may affect lateral stability for some
- Red colorway may show dirt more easily than darker options
Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure the best performance from your Nike Zoom Vomero 18, follow these guidelines:
- Sizing: These shoes are true to size for most adult male feet. Ensure you allow for about a thumb's width of space in the toe box.
- Lacing: Use the additional eyelets if you require a 'runner's loop' for a more secure heel lock.
- Cleaning: Hand wash using a soft-bristled brush and mild soap. Avoid putting them in the washing machine or dryer, as high heat can damage the foam properties and adhesives.
- Air Drying: Always let the shoes air dry naturally away from direct sunlight or artificial heat sources to maintain the integrity of the mesh and cushioning.
