Full details
The Fizik Terra Atlas cycling shoes are designed for adult riders seeking a versatile, comfortable shoe for all-terrain and all-road adventures, from gravel paths to MTB trails. Their key benefit is long-wearing comfort with a generous fit and efficient pedaling performance. A potential caveat is that the single BOA closure, while practical, may offer less fine-tuned adjustability than dual systems for some riders.

FAQs
Are these shoes suitable for everyday commuting?
Yes, their all-terrain design and comfort make them suitable for commuting, especially if your route includes varied surfaces.
Can I walk comfortably in these shoes?
The Terra Atlas shoes offer better walkability than pure road cycling shoes due to their tread pattern and sole design, making them suitable for short walks.
What type of pedals do these shoes work with?
These shoes are designed for 2-bolt clipless pedal systems, commonly used in mountain biking and gravel cycling.
How do I clean the shoe interior?
The interior can be wiped with a damp cloth. For deeper cleaning, remove the insoles and allow them to air dry separately. Avoid machine washing.
What is the warranty on Fizik Terra Atlas shoes?
Please refer to the manufacturer's official warranty information for specific details regarding coverage and duration.
Is the fit true to size?
The Terra Atlas is designed with a more generous fit for comfort. It is recommended to consult a sizing chart or try them on if possible, as fit can be subjective.
Troubleshooting
BOA dial is stiff or difficult to turn
Check for debris around the dial and lace guides. Gently clean with a damp cloth. If the issue persists, contact customer support.
Cleats are not securing properly
Ensure the cleat mounting bolts are tightened to the manufacturer's recommended torque. Check that the cleats are correctly oriented for your pedal system.
Discomfort after extended wear
Loosen the BOA dial slightly for improved circulation. Ensure the shoes were the correct size and width for your feet. Consider using different insoles for personalized support.
Pros and Cons
Pros
- Highly versatile for a wide range of cycling disciplines.
- Prioritizes long-ride comfort with a roomier fit.
- Offers good protection for the toes.
- Easy and quick to adjust with the single BOA system.
- Suitable for both technical trails and long-distance riding.
Cons
- Single BOA closure may not provide the same level of micro-adjustability as dual systems.
- While protective, may not offer the extreme ruggedness of specialized downhill or enduro shoes.
- Fit can be subjective; a more generous fit might not suit riders with very narrow feet.
Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup: The Fizik Terra Atlas shoes are designed for immediate use. Ensure the laces are fully loosened via the BOA dial before inserting your foot. Once in, turn the dial clockwise until a snug, comfortable fit is achieved. To release, pull the BOA dial outwards. The shoes are compatible with most common clipless pedal systems (e.g., SPD).
Compatibility: These shoes are designed to work with 2-bolt cleat systems, commonly found on mountain biking and gravel pedals. Ensure your chosen pedals and cleats are compatible before installation.
Care: Clean the shoes after rides using a damp cloth to remove dirt and debris. For stubborn mud, a soft brush can be used. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners. Allow the shoes to air dry naturally away from direct heat sources. The BOA system can be cleaned with a damp cloth; avoid submerging it in water.
