FAQs

Are these shoes suitable for wide feet?

The Skechers Bedford Cheerful Glow features a Stretch Fit® design for a sock-like, adaptive fit. While it offers some flexibility, it is designed for a standard width. If you typically require wide-width shoes, this model might feel snug.

How do I use the Hands Free Slip-ins™ feature?

Simply place your foot into the shoe. The Heel Pillow at the back will help hold your foot securely in place, allowing you to slide your foot in without needing to bend down or use your hands.

Can I wear these for exercising or sports?

These shoes are designed for casual wear and everyday comfort. They feature cushioning and a flexible sole, but they do not offer the specialized support and stability required for intense athletic activities like running or gym workouts.

How often should I wash these shoes?

You can machine wash them as needed when they appear dirty or require freshening up. Ensure they are fully air-dried afterward to maintain their shape and materials.

What is the heel height?

The heel height is approximately 3.2 cm (1 1/4 inches).

Will the Air-Cooled Memory Foam® insole lose its cushioning over time?

Like all cushioning materials, the Air-Cooled Memory Foam® insole will provide optimal comfort for an extended period. Regular wear will eventually lead to gradual compression, but they are designed for durable, everyday comfort.

Troubleshooting

Shoes feel too tight or snug.

This is likely due to the Stretch Fit® design. Wear them for short periods initially to allow them to break in and conform to your foot shape. If still too tight, consider if this style is the best fit for your preference for looser footwear.

Difficulty slipping foot in.

Ensure you are using the Heel Pillow correctly to guide your foot. If there is significant resistance, the shoe might be too small, or your foot may be wider than the shoe's intended fit.

Soles feel slippery on certain surfaces.

The flexible traction outsole is designed for general use. For extremely smooth or wet surfaces, exercise caution. Ensure the outsole is clean, as dirt or debris can reduce grip.

Color transfer from shoes to socks.

New shoes, especially in darker colors, may have a slight tendency to transfer color initially. This should reduce after the first few wears or washes. Wearing dark socks can minimize the appearance of any transfer.

Pros and Cons

Pros

  • Extremely easy to put on and take off due to the Slip-ins™ design.
  • Superior comfort provided by the Air-Cooled Memory Foam® insole.
  • Breathable upper keeps feet cool during extended wear.
  • Machine washable for convenient cleaning.
  • Versatile design suitable for casual daily activities.

Cons

  • The 'sock-like' fit may be too snug for individuals who prefer a looser shoe.
  • Heel height is modest (3.2 cm), which might not suit those looking for significant elevation.
  • Primarily designed for casual wear; may not offer enough support for intense athletic activities.

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Setup:

These shoes require no setup. Simply wear them. The Skechers Hands Free Slip-ins™ technology allows you to slide your foot in effortlessly. The Stretch Fit® design will naturally conform to your foot.

Compatibility:

These shoes are designed for adult women. They are suitable for general casual wear and everyday activities. They are not designed for specialized athletic performance like running or hiking.

Care Instructions:

  • Machine Washable: Place the shoes in a washing machine, preferably in a mesh laundry bag or pillowcase, and wash with a mild detergent on a gentle cycle with cold water.
  • Air Dry: After washing, allow the shoes to air dry completely. Do not use a dryer or direct heat, as this can damage the materials.
  • Spot Cleaning: For minor marks or stains between washes, use a damp cloth with a mild soap solution to gently clean the affected area.
