FAQs

Are these shorts suitable for sports other than football?

Yes, due to their moisture-wicking material and flexible fit, they are excellent for a variety of athletic activities, including gym class, running, and tennis.

How should I choose the right size?

The shorts are listed by age and UK size. Use the adjustable waistband to fine-tune the fit if the child is between sizes.

Does the crest fade after washing?

To preserve the club crest, always turn the shorts inside out before tossing them in the washing machine.

Is the material breathable?

Yes, the polyester blend is designed to be lightweight and breathable, specifically for high-intensity physical activity.

Can these be tumble dried?

We recommend air drying whenever possible to preserve the fabric's integrity, but they can be tumble dried on a very low heat setting.

Troubleshooting

Drawstring has retracted into the waistband

Use a safety pin to guide the drawstring back through the hole, or use tweezers to retrieve the end if visible.

Fabric feels damp after training

Ensure the shorts are not being washed with heavy fabric softeners, which can interfere with the moisture-wicking properties of the polyester.

Pros and Cons

Pros

High-quality moisture-wicking fabric keeps the skin dry.
Official club branding provides an authentic feel.
Lightweight construction allows for maximum agility on the pitch.
Adjustable waistband accommodates different body types.

Cons

Requires machine washing to maintain technical fabric properties.
Specifically designed for athletic use, which may show wear if used for rough play.
Limited to one specific colourway based on the team's home kit.

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Getting the most out of your Puma Manchester City 26/27 Shorts requires minimal setup beyond adjusting the drawstring to your child's waist. To ensure the longevity of the fabric and the club crest, it is recommended to wash the shorts inside out in cold water. Avoid using harsh fabric softeners, as these can clog the pores of the moisture-wicking material and reduce its effectiveness. Always air dry the shorts or tumble dry on a low heat setting to prevent material degradation.
