FAQs

What is the non-stick coating made of?

The non-stick coating is a double Quantum II coating that is silicone based, and therefore PFOA and PTFE free.

What size is the cake pan?

The cake pan measures 20 cm (8") across and 7 cm (3") deep.

Can I use metal utensils with this pan?

It is recommended to use silicone, nylon, or wooden utensils to avoid scratching the non-stick surface.

Is the pan dishwasher safe?

Hand washing is recommended to preserve the non-stick coating. Dishwashers can degrade the coating over time.

What kind of cakes can I bake in this pan?

This pan is ideal for sponge cakes, cheesecakes, fruitcakes, and more.

What is the warranty on this cake pan?

The pan is covered by the MasterClass 20-year guarantee and a 5-year non-stick guarantee.

Troubleshooting

Cake sticks to the pan.

Ensure the pan is greased properly before baking. If the problem persists, consider using parchment paper on the base and sides.

Rust appears on the pan.

Make sure the pan is dried completely after washing. If rust appears, gently scrub it off with a non-abrasive cleaner and re-season the pan.

The springform mechanism is difficult to open.

Ensure the mechanism is clean and free of debris. If needed, apply a small amount of food-grade oil to the mechanism to lubricate it.
