Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure the longevity of your jacket, follow these guidelines:
- Fit Adjustment: Utilize the drawcords at the hem and the velcro or elastic tabs on the cuffs to ensure a snug fit that prevents water from traveling up the sleeves.
- Layering: Wear this as an outer shell over a fleece or base layer depending on the temperature.
- Cleaning: Wash in cold water using a mild technical detergent specifically designed for waterproof membranes. Avoid using fabric softeners or harsh bleach as these can strip the durable water repellent (DWR) coating.
- Drying: Air dry the garment in a shaded area. Avoid direct heat sources like radiators, which can damage the adhesive layers of the fabric.
- Re-proofing: Over time, if you notice water no longer beads on the surface, use a spray-on waterproofing treatment to restore the outer finish.
