Product Information

Full details

The Viscotherapy Thrive Comfort Foam Mattress is an ideal solution for those needing a supportive, low-profile sleeping surface, specifically optimized for bunk beds, trundle beds, or guest rooms. It offers a stable, medium-firm feel that promotes healthy spinal alignment through its high-density, spring-free foam core. While its 14cm profile is perfect for safety-constrained bed frames, users who prefer a traditional plush or high-profile mattress may find the low-depth design firmer than expected.

FAQs

Is this mattress safe for children?

Yes, it is CertiPUR-US certified, meets BS7177 fire safety standards, and is naturally hypoallergenic.

Can I use this on a slatted bed frame?

Yes, as long as the slats are spaced appropriately to provide consistent support to the foam base.

How do I clean the cover?

The cover is removable and machine-washable. Follow the specific care label instructions for temperature settings.

Is the mattress suitable for heavy adults?

The mattress provides high-density foam support, but its 14cm depth is primarily designed for bunk beds and light-to-average weight sleepers.

Does the mattress arrive rolled?

Yes, the mattress is typically compressed for shipping convenience and will expand once the packaging is removed.

Troubleshooting

Mattress feels uneven or lopsided

Check that the bed frame slats are correctly spaced and that the mattress is laid perfectly flat.

Cover is difficult to put back on after washing

Ensure the cover is completely dry before re-application and zip it slowly to avoid catching the fabric teeth.

Pros and Cons

Pros

  • Perfect height for bunk and trundle beds
  • Hypoallergenic materials ideal for allergy sufferers
  • Removable cover makes cleaning simple
  • Excellent motion isolation due to foam construction
  • Meets BS7177 fire safety standards

Cons

  • 14cm depth may feel too firm for some users
  • Not suitable for heavy-duty adjustable bases
  • Lacks the 'bounce' associated with traditional pocket springs

Setup, Compatibility & Care

This mattress is designed for flat, stable bed frames including slats and solid platforms. Upon arrival, ensure the mattress is placed on a level surface. Because it is constructed from high-density foam, it is lightweight and easy to maneuver. To maintain the life of the mattress, rotate it 180 degrees every few months to ensure even wear across the foam core. To clean the cover, unzip it fully, remove it from the foam insert, and wash on a gentle cycle according to the tag instructions. Avoid using harsh chemicals or bleach on the foam itself, as this can degrade the structural integrity of the material.
