Product Information

Full details

The Regatta Junior Waterproof Changing Robe Pro is the ideal companion for active children who participate in outdoor swimming, surfing, or weekend hikes, regardless of the weather conditions. Designed to provide exceptional warmth and protection, it features a waterproof and breathable outer layer paired with a cozy internal lining. While it offers superior thermal insulation for post-activity recovery, its bulkier design means it is primarily intended for use as a dedicated changing and warming layer rather than an active-wear jacket for high-intensity sports.

FAQs

Is the robe truly waterproof?

Yes, it features ISOTEX STRETCH 20000 fabric and fully taped seams, which are designed to keep the wearer dry in significant rain.

Can this be used for swimming?

It is designed to be worn after swimming to help the child dry off and warm up quickly.

How should I clean the faux fur hood?

Gently hand wash the faux fur area with cool water and mild soap, then allow it to air dry naturally.

Does it have pockets?

The design includes functional elements suitable for active outdoor use; check the side pockets for storage of small essentials.

Is the sizing accurate for the age group?

The sizing follows standard UK children's sizing; however, since it is a changing robe, the fit is intentionally generous to facilitate changing clothes underneath.

Troubleshooting

Water beading is no longer effective on the outer fabric.

The Durable Water Repellent (DWR) finish may need reactivating; use a technical re-proofing spray recommended for synthetic outdoor gear.

Fleece lining feels matted or less soft.

After washing, allow the robe to air dry and then gently brush the fleece with a soft-bristled garment brush to fluff the fibers back up.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Excellent waterproof protection with ISOTEX STRETCH 20000
Soft and insulating borg fleece interior
Durable construction with fully taped seams
Generous fit allows for easy changing underneath
Stylish and functional design for various outdoor activities

Cons

Not intended for high-intensity movement due to its bulky nature
Requires proper air drying to maintain the fleece quality
Size is specific to age groups, limiting long-term growth use

Setup, Compatibility & Care

To ensure the longevity of your Regatta Changing Robe, follow these care instructions: Always zip up the robe and secure all fasteners before washing to prevent snagging. Wash on a gentle cycle in cool water using a mild detergent, avoiding fabric softeners which can damage the waterproof coating. Hang the robe to air dry away from direct heat sources like radiators to preserve the structural integrity of the fleece lining and waterproof membrane. The robe is designed as an outer shell, so it is compatible with most standard swimwear or base layers worn during outdoor sports.
