Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
- Lacing: Ensure the lace closure is tied securely but not overly tight. The lace closure is designed to provide a supportive fit; adjust it to your personal comfort and foot shape for optimal lockdown.
- Break-In Period: Like most high-performance boots, a short break-in period may be beneficial to allow the materials to conform to your foot, enhancing comfort and fit. Wear them for a few shorter sessions before a full match.
Compatibility
- Playing Surface: These boots are explicitly designed for Firm Ground (FG) pitches. This refers to natural grass fields that are typically dry or slightly damp. They are not recommended for use on artificial turf (AG), soft ground (SG), or indoor surfaces, as this can compromise performance, durability, and potentially lead to injury.
Care Instructions
Proper care will extend the life and performance of your boots:
- Cleaning: After each use, wipe off mud and dirt using a damp cloth or soft brush. Avoid harsh detergents or abrasive materials.
- Drying: Allow the boots to air dry naturally at room temperature. Do not expose them to direct heat sources (e.g., radiators, direct sunlight, tumble dryers) as this can damage the materials and adhesives.
- Storage: Store the boots in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight. Using boot trees or stuffing them with newspaper can help maintain their shape and absorb moisture.
- Avoid Submerging: Do not submerge the boots in water or machine wash them, as this can degrade the materials and affect their structural integrity.
