Product Information

Full details

The Diesel Biker Jacket with rib-knit inserts is designed for adults seeking a contemporary, edgy aesthetic without the weight of traditional heavy outerwear. It offers the refined, broken-in look of vintage leather through a high-quality bonded material, providing both style and a sculpted, flexible fit. While the slim-fit silhouette is highly flattering, users should note that it requires careful handling due to the delicate nature of the bonded material compared to genuine, thick cowhide.

FAQs

Is this jacket made of genuine leather?

This model is crafted from a lightweight bonded material that replicates the character and feel of aged leather.

How should I choose the right size?

This jacket features a slim-fit cut. If you plan on wearing thicker layers underneath, you may want to consider sizing up.

Can I wash this jacket in the washing machine?

No, machine washing can damage the bonded material. Always follow the care instructions on the interior label.

Does the rib-knit material stretch out over time?

The rib-knit panels are designed for flexibility and to retain their shape; however, like any knit fabric, they should be treated with care to avoid snagging.

Is this jacket suitable for winter?

It is best suited for transitional weather. For colder climates, it is designed to be worn as an outer layer but may not provide sufficient insulation for sub-zero temperatures.

Troubleshooting

Visible dust or lint on the surface

Use a soft-bristled garment brush or a dry microfiber cloth to gently wipe the surface.

Zipper feels stiff or hard to operate

Ensure no fabric is caught in the track and apply a tiny amount of wax-based zipper lubricant if necessary.

Creasing from improper storage

Hang the jacket on a wide, contoured hanger for several days; the material's natural drape will help relax minor creases.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Lightweight design ensures comfortable all-day wear.
Rib-knit inserts allow for a greater range of motion.
Broken-in texture looks authentic from the first wear.
Slim-fit cut offers a flattering, contemporary silhouette.
Versatile two-way zip accommodates different layering styles.

Cons

Bonded material is less durable than thick, full-grain leather.
Slim-fit sizing may feel too restrictive for those who prefer layering thick sweaters.
Material requires specific care instructions to maintain its integrity.

Setup, Compatibility & Care

To keep your Diesel biker jacket in pristine condition, avoid machine washing or heavy detergents. Because the material is bonded, it is sensitive to heat and moisture. Use a soft, dry cloth to remove surface dust. If the jacket gets wet, allow it to air dry naturally away from direct sunlight or artificial heat sources, which could damage the bonded finish. Store the jacket on a shaped, padded hanger to maintain the structure of the shoulders and collar, and ensure it is kept in a cool, dry place to prevent the material from cracking over time.
