Setup, Compatibility & Care Instructions
Setup
Getting started with your Nike Air Zoom Vomero 18 is straightforward:
- Lacing: Unlace the shoes fully and slide your foot in, using the pull tab for assistance if needed.
- Fit Adjustment: Ensure your heel is seated comfortably at the back of the shoe. Adjust the laces from the bottom up, ensuring a snug fit across the midfoot without being too tight. You should have a thumb's width of space between your longest toe and the end of the shoe.
- Break-In: While the Vomero 18 is comfortable out of the box, a short break-in period (e.g., a few shorter runs) can help the shoe mold to your foot for optimal performance.
Compatibility
- Running: These shoes are specifically designed for road running, daily training, and long-distance efforts.
- General Fitness: Can be used for light gym activities or walking, but their primary design intent is running performance.
- Surfaces: Best suited for asphalt, concrete, and well-maintained track surfaces.
Care
Proper care extends the life and maintains the performance of your running shoes:
- Cleaning: Spot clean visible dirt with a soft brush or cloth, mild soap, and cold water. Avoid harsh detergents.
- Drying: Air dry shoes at room temperature. Do not use direct heat sources like radiators or tumble dryers, as this can damage materials and adhesives.
- Storage: Store shoes in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight when not in use. Avoid storing them in damp environments.
- Washing Machine: It is generally not recommended to wash running shoes in a washing machine, as it can compromise their structural integrity and cushioning properties.
