FAQs

Can I leave the birdbath out in freezing temperatures?

Yes, the material is specifically frost-proof and designed for year-round outdoor use.

Do I need to secure the bowl to the pedestal?

Yes, due to the pedestal design, it is strongly recommended to fix the bowl to the base to ensure safety and stability.

How heavy is the birdbath?

The birdbath weighs approximately 29kg.

Where is this product made?

This birdbath is hand-finished in Somerset, UK.

What is the best way to clean the basin?

Regularly rinse with fresh water and use a soft-bristled brush to remove organic buildup without scratching the finish.

Is the white finish prone to staining?

Like any outdoor stone item, it can accumulate dirt or moss over time. Regular cleaning will maintain its bright, white appearance.

Troubleshooting

The birdbath feels wobbly after setup

Ensure the surface underneath is perfectly level. Check if the bond between the bowl and pedestal is secure; re-apply adhesive if necessary.

Water drains from the bowl too quickly

Inspect the waterproof lining for cracks. If the lining has failed, contact the manufacturer or apply a non-toxic stone sealant.

Surface discoloration or algae growth

Use a soft brush and mild soapy water to clean the surface. Never use high-pressure washers as they can erode the compressed sand finish.

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Setup:

Select a firm, level surface like a patio slab or compacted ground to prevent the unit from leaning.
Carefully align the bowl with the pedestal base.
Use a suitable outdoor-grade adhesive to fix the bowl to the base for long-term stability and security.

Compatibility:

This unit is designed for outdoor placement. Avoid placing it directly on soft, uncompacted soil, which may cause it to sink or become unstable over time.

Care:

Regularly rinse the bowl with clean water to remove bird droppings and debris.
Scrub lightly with a soft brush if algae begins to form.
Avoid using harsh chemicals that could damage the stone finish or harm visiting birds.
