Setup, Compatibility & Care
Fitting & Setup
- Lacing: Begin by loosening the laces completely. Slide your foot into the shoe, ensuring your heel is comfortably seated against the back.
- Midfoot Fit Band: The full midfoot fit band is key to the shoe's secure feel. Start tightening the laces from the bottom, pulling firmly to engage the fit band around your midfoot. This creates a custom, locked-in sensation.
- Ankle Comfort: Finish lacing up to the top eyelets, ensuring the improved collar feels snug but not restrictive around your ankle. Walk around to assess comfort and make any final adjustments.
Compatibility
These shoes are designated 'HC' for Hard Court, meaning their outsole pattern and rubber compound are specifically designed for optimal grip, durability, and performance on hard tennis courts. While they can be used on other surfaces, their benefits are maximized on hard courts.
Care & Maintenance
- Cleaning: Wipe down the mesh upper with a damp cloth and a small amount of mild soap (e.g., dish soap) to remove dirt and sweat. For the outsole, use a stiff brush to clear away clay or debris from the treads. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
- Drying: Always allow your shoes to air dry naturally at room temperature. Do not place them in direct sunlight, on a heater, or in a tumble dryer, as extreme heat can damage materials and adhesives.
- Storage: Store your tennis shoes in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight when not in use. Keeping them in a shoe bag can help protect them from dirt and scuffs.
- Odor Control: If odors develop, remove the insoles and allow them to air out separately. You can also use shoe deodorizers or baking soda sprinkled inside the shoes overnight.
