The Castelli Squadra Stretch Road Vest is a high-performance cycling essential designed for cyclists who need reliable core protection during cool, windy rides. It excels at blocking wind and repelling light road spray, making it a perfect layer for transitional weather. While its tightly knit panels offer an aerodynamic, close-to-body fit, prospective users should note that the athletic cut is designed for performance and may feel snugger than casual cycling apparel.

The vest is designed to be windproof and water-repellent, meaning it handles light road spray or drizzle, but it is not a fully waterproof rain jacket.
The Castelli Squadra Stretch Road Vest is designed primarily for minimalism and aerodynamics; it does not feature integrated pockets.
It is intended to have a close-to-body, race-fit feel. It should be snug enough to prevent flapping in the wind without restricting your ability to reach for the handlebars.
This vest is best suited for cool conditions. While breathable due to the side panels, the windproof front material may cause overheating in high temperatures.
Because of its lightweight material, it packs down very small. It can be folded into a jersey pocket for easy access during rides when the temperature changes.
Ensure the vest is positioned correctly while on the bike; the garment is designed for a riding position, not a standing position. If it remains uncomfortable, you may need to size up for a less aggressive fit.
Avoid washing with heavy-duty garments or zippers that could abrade the reflective surface. Always wash inside out to protect the reflective strips.
Because of its performance-oriented design, the vest should be worn over a standard cycling jersey. To ensure the longest product lifespan, it is recommended to machine wash the garment on a gentle cycle in cold water. Avoid using fabric softeners or harsh detergents, as these can compromise the protective coating on the ripstop fabric. Always air dry the vest rather than using a tumble dryer, as heat can degrade the integrity of the stretch side panels and reflective materials over time.
