Setup, Compatibility & Care
Compatibility: Before purchasing, ensure your CDA Cooker Hood Vent Extractor specifically requires the Type CHA15 round carbon filter. Refer to your cooker hood's manual or the manufacturer's website for confirmation. This filter is designed for use with specific CDA models.
Setup:
- Turn off the power supply to your cooker hood at the mains.
- Remove the metal grease filters from the underside of the hood. These usually clip or slide out.
- Locate the existing carbon filters, which are often situated behind the metal filters. They may twist or push into place.
- Remove the old carbon filter(s) and dispose of them appropriately.
- Insert the new Spares2Go CHA15 carbon filter(s) into the designated housing. Ensure they are securely fitted.
- Replace the metal grease filters.
- Restore power to the cooker hood.
Care: Carbon filters are not washable and cannot be reused once saturated. They must be replaced periodically. The recommended replacement interval is typically every 3 to 6 months, but this can vary based on your cooking intensity and frequency. Regularly inspect the filters for signs of saturation or damage. Always ensure the cooker hood is switched off at the mains before performing any maintenance.
