FAQs
What does the "Evolution of Icons" series signify?
The "Evolution of Icons" series celebrates Nike's legacy by reinterpreting classic designs with updated materials and details, often referencing past iconic models.
Are the Air Max units in the midsole functional?
Yes, the full-length visible Air Max unit provides cushioning and impact absorption for comfort during wear.
How do I clean the corduroy parts of the shoe?
Gently brush off dry dirt. For stains, use a slightly damp cloth with a mild soap solution. Avoid saturation.
What inspired the design of the Air Max 97?
The original Air Max 97 was inspired by Japanese high-speed trains, reflected in its sleek lines and wavy upper design. This SE version builds upon that with unique materials and thematic elements.
Is this shoe suitable for running?
While comfortable for walking and daily activities, the Air Max 97 SE is primarily a lifestyle sneaker and not designed for high-impact athletic performance like running.
What is the primary material of the upper?
The upper features a combination of corduroy and leather overlays.
Troubleshooting
Uneven wear on the sole
Ensure proper fit and avoid activities that cause excessive twisting or scuffing. Rotate use with other footwear if possible.
Discoloration of the corduroy material
Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight. Clean gently with a damp cloth as recommended.
Visible Air unit appears clouded
Minor cloudiness can occur with normal use. Ensure the Air unit is clean using a damp cloth. Significant internal damage is rare but may indicate a defect.
