FAQs
Is the canvas ready to hang?
Yes, it arrives fully assembled and stretched on a wooden frame, ready for wall mounting.
What type of ink is used?
The product features HP Vivera UV-resistant pigment inks for high definition and fade resistance.
Where is this canvas made?
Each piece is hand-crafted in the UK.
Can I hang this in a sunny room?
Yes, the UV-resistant inks are designed to handle natural light better than standard prints, though extreme direct sunlight should still be avoided for maximum longevity.
What is the frame made of?
The frame is constructed from 18mm kiln-dried solid pine, which is treated to be warp-free.
How do I clean the canvas?
Simply dust it gently with a dry, soft microfiber cloth.
Troubleshooting
Canvas appears loose after shipping
The 18mm pine frame is kiln-dried to prevent warping, but if the canvas feels slightly loose due to temperature changes, placing it in a room with moderate humidity for 24 hours often allows the tension to normalize.
Dust accumulation on the surface
Use only a dry, soft cloth. Never use water or household cleaning chemicals, as these can damage the pigment inks and the canvas texture.
Pros and Cons
Pros
- UV-resistant inks prevent fading over time
- Sturdy 18mm kiln-dried pine frame resists warping
- Comes ready-to-hang for immediate installation
- High-definition, vivid color reproduction
- Made to order with archival-grade materials
Cons
- Fixed dimensions may not suit every wall size
- Design is static and cannot be customized
- Limited to indoor display environments
Setup, Compatibility & Care
To install, identify your desired location and use a standard wall hook or screw suited for your wall type (e.g., drywall or masonry). Because the frame is already stretched over pine, it will hang flush against the wall.
Care Instructions:
- Dusting: Use a clean, dry, soft microfiber cloth to gently remove dust from the canvas surface.
- Environment: Avoid displaying the canvas in high-humidity areas, such as bathrooms, which can impact the longevity of the wood frame.
- Sunlight: While the ink is UV-resistant, it is best practice to avoid extreme direct sunlight for prolonged periods to ensure the vibrancy lasts for years.
