FAQs
Is the New Balance 1906L suitable for running?
While it features performance cushioning, it is designed as a lifestyle loafer and should not be used for high-intensity running.
Does this shoe run true to size?
The 1906L fits consistently with standard New Balance sizing, but because it is a loafer, ensure your heel sits securely without excessive movement.
How do I keep the pink mesh clean?
Regularly brush off loose dirt and spot clean with a mild soap solution. Avoid harsh chemicals that may cause discoloration.
What technology is used in the sole?
It uses the 860v2 sole unit, which incorporates segmented ABZORB SBS heel cushioning for impact protection.
Are these shoes machine washable?
No, machine washing can damage the structural overlays and the cushioning material. Stick to hand cleaning.
Troubleshooting
Heel slipping while walking
Ensure the shoe size is correct and consider using a thin heel grip insert to improve the locked-in feel.
Mesh upper accumulating dust or dirt
Use a soft-bristled brush to gently remove surface debris, followed by a damp cloth with mild detergent.
Pros and Cons
Pros
- Excellent underfoot comfort from ABZORB technology
- Highly breathable mesh upper material
- Versatile design suitable for casual and lifestyle settings
- Stable platform derived from the 860v2 performance model
Cons
- Not intended for high-intensity athletic training
- The loafer style may require a specific fit preference compared to traditional lace-ups
- Pink colorway requires regular maintenance to stay vibrant
Setup, Compatibility & Care
Because the 1906L is a slip-on style loafer, ensure you select your correct UK size—such as the 7.5 listed—to prevent heel slippage. To maintain the integrity of the polyester mesh and the synthetic overlays, it is recommended to spot clean with a soft cloth, mild soap, and cold water. Avoid machine washing or drying, as high heat can compromise the cushioning integrity of the ABZORB unit. Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to preserve the vibrant pink color.
