FAQs

Is the basin tap included with the vanity unit?

No, the basin tap and waste fittings are sold separately and are not included with the Nuie Arno vanity unit. The basin has a pre-drilled single tap hole for a mono basin mixer tap.

What type of tap should I use with this basin?

The ceramic basin is pre-drilled with a single tap hole, which is designed for a mono basin mixer tap.

How do I clean the midnight blue finish?

Clean the unit with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals to protect the matt finish.

Does the vanity unit come assembled?

Yes, the Nuie Arno vanity unit is supplied rigid (fully assembled) for easy installation.

What are the dimensions of the vanity unit?

The vanity unit has the following approximate dimensions: Width: 800mm, Height: 818mm (including basin), Depth: 390mm.

What is the warranty period for this product?

The Nuie Arno vanity unit and basin comes with a 5-year guarantee from the manufacturer.

Can I install this vanity unit in a wet room?

While constructed from moisture-resistant MDF, it is designed for standard bathroom use. Prolonged direct water exposure, as might occur in a wet room, could impact its longevity. Ensure good ventilation and avoid direct splashing.

Troubleshooting

Drawers are not closing smoothly.

Check for any obstructions within the drawer runners. Ensure the drawers are properly aligned and that nothing is preventing the soft-close mechanism from engaging.

Water is not draining from the basin.

Verify that the waste fitting is correctly installed and not blocked. Ensure the overflow is clear and functioning.

The unit feels unstable.

Ensure the unit is placed on a level surface and that all fixings (if any were required for securing to the wall for stability) are tightened appropriately. As a floor-standing unit, its stability relies on level flooring.

Visible water damage or swelling.

Wipe away any standing water immediately. Ensure the bathroom is adequately ventilated. If damage is significant, contact customer support as this may indicate a seal failure or prolonged exposure to moisture.

Pros and Cons

Pros

  • Stylish and modern midnight blue finish that enhances bathroom aesthetics.
  • Soft-close drawers provide quiet and smooth operation, adding a touch of luxury.
  • Durable MDF construction ensures longevity and resistance to bathroom moisture.
  • Pre-assembled unit simplifies installation process.
  • Generous storage capacity with two large drawers.

Cons

  • Basin tap and waste are sold separately, requiring an additional purchase.
  • Floor-standing design may not be suitable for very small bathrooms or specific layout needs.
  • Requires careful cleaning to maintain the matt finish.
  • Limited color options compared to some other vanity units.
  • The single tap hole on the basin restricts tap choices to mono basin mixer taps.

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Setup: The Nuie Arno vanity unit is supplied fully assembled (rigid) for straightforward installation. Ensure you have the necessary plumbing connections and tools. The unit is floor-standing, so it needs to be positioned and secured appropriately. The ceramic basin comes pre-drilled with a single tap hole, ready for a mono basin mixer tap.

Compatibility: This vanity unit is designed to be used with a mono basin mixer tap, which is sold separately. The waste and overflow fittings are also sold separately. Ensure your chosen tap and waste are compatible with standard bathroom plumbing.

Care: To maintain the unit's appearance, clean the MDF exterior with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals, as they can damage the matt finish. Wipe the ceramic basin with a mild detergent and water. For the chrome handles, use a soft cloth and a non-abrasive cleaner if needed.
