FAQs

Are these shoes suitable for running?

While inspired by running shoes, the Zoom Vomero 5 is best suited for everyday wear, walking, and light athletic activities due to its focus on comfort and durable design for daily use.

How do I clean the mesh panels?

Gently brush the mesh panels with a soft brush and mild soap and water solution. Blot with a clean, damp cloth and allow to air dry.

What is the primary material of the upper?

The upper is constructed from a combination of natural leather and synthetic leather, along with textile material for breathability.

Does the shoe offer good arch support?

The shoe incorporates Zoom Air cushioning and a supportive plastic cage which contributes to overall foot support during wear.

Can I wear these trainers in wet weather?

The rubber outsole provides traction, but the leather and mesh upper is not fully waterproof. It is advisable to avoid wearing them in heavy rain to protect the materials.

What does 'Anthracite' refer to?

'Anthracite' refers to the primary dark grey and black colorway of this specific model, giving it a technical, urban appearance.

How does the sizing run?

Nike trainers generally run true to size. It is recommended to consult a size chart or try them on if possible for the best fit.

Troubleshooting

Shoes feel tight or uncomfortable

Ensure you are wearing appropriate socks. If the issue persists after a few wears, the leather may need a slight break-in period. Consider using the correct size; check the sizing guide if unsure.

Squeaking sound when walking

This can sometimes occur due to friction between the insole and the shoe bed. Try removing the insole, checking for debris, and reinserting it. A small amount of talcum powder under the insole can sometimes help.

Laces become worn or frayed

Replace the laces with a new pair of standard athletic shoe laces of a similar length. The 'Anthracite' colorway may suit black or dark grey laces.

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Setup: As a finished footwear product, the Nike Zoom Vomero 5 requires no assembly. They are ready to wear out of the box.

Compatibility: These trainers are designed for adult males and are suitable for general athletic and casual wear. They are not specifically designed for specialized sports performance but offer versatility for various activities.

Care Instructions:

Cleaning: To clean the trainers, use a soft brush or damp cloth to remove dirt and dust from the leather and mesh surfaces. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
Drying: If the shoes become wet, allow them to air dry naturally at room temperature. Do not expose them to direct heat sources like radiators or hairdryers, as this can damage the materials.
Storage: Store the trainers in a cool, dry place when not in use, ideally in a shoe bag or their original box to maintain their shape and protect them from dust.
