Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
These running shoes require no special setup. Simply try them on to ensure a comfortable and secure fit. Adjust the laces as needed to achieve your preferred level of snugness. It is recommended to wear them for a short run or two to get accustomed to the feel of the carbon plate before a long race.
Compatibility:
The Brooks Hyperion Elite 5 is compatible with most running socks. While they are designed for road running surfaces, they can handle light, well-maintained trails. They are not designed for trail running with significant obstacles or rough terrain.
Care:
- Cleaning: Clean the shoes after use with a soft brush or damp cloth to remove dirt and debris. Avoid machine washing or submerging the shoes in water, as this can damage the materials and construction.
- Drying: Allow the shoes to air dry naturally at room temperature. Do not place them near direct heat sources like radiators or in a tumble dryer, as this can warp the shoe.
- Storage: Store the shoes in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Ensure they are not compressed or stored under heavy objects.
- Rotation: For optimal performance and longevity, consider rotating these shoes with a more cushioned, everyday trainer if you run frequently.
