This Everbuild Tecnic Silicone 825 Sealant in brown is ideal for builders and DIY enthusiasts needing a durable, neutral-cure silicone for sealing expansion joints in masonry, concrete, and around window and door frames. Its key benefit is the extended tool-down time, allowing for easier application on longer or more complex joints. A caveat to consider is its suitability primarily for joints where stress occurs only after curing.

The sealant will skin over in approximately 20-30 minutes and will be fully cured within 24-48 hours, depending on joint depth, temperature, and humidity.
No, this silicone sealant is not designed to be painted over. It is a non-paintable finish.
It is generally recommended to apply the sealant between 5°C and 30°C.
While it provides weatherproofing, it is not specifically formulated as an anti-fungal or kitchen/bathroom sealant. For those applications, a dedicated sanitary or kitchen sealant is recommended.
Low modulus means the sealant has a lower resistance to stretching once cured. This allows it to accommodate movement in joints without failing, making it suitable for expansion joints.
Neutral cure means the sealant releases a non-acidic byproduct as it cures, which is less corrosive and has less odor compared to acidic cure sealants. This makes it safe for use on a wider range of materials.
Uncured sealant can be wiped away with a damp cloth or a solvent-safe cleaning wipe. Once cured, it will need to be mechanically removed.
Ensure the cartridge is properly loaded in the sealant gun and the nozzle tip and inner seal have been pierced correctly.
While formulated for extended tool-down time, ensure you are working in optimal temperature conditions and avoid excessive disturbance of the applied bead.
Verify that the substrate was clean, dry, and free from dust, grease, or old sealant. Ensure the correct application method was followed and the sealant has fully cured before applying stress.
Use a suitable tooling agent or a damp cloth/spatula to smooth the bead immediately after application. Practice on a less visible area if needed.
Setup:
Compatibility:
This sealant is compatible with most common building materials including stone, brick, concrete, and painted or unpainted wood and metal frames. It is not recommended for use on surfaces that may bleed oils or plasticizers.
Care:
Store unused sealant in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and frost. Once opened, it is best used within a few weeks to maintain optimal performance.
