Product Information

Full details

The Cobra MT250C 4-in-1 Multi Tool is designed for homeowners and professional landscapers who need a versatile, space-saving solution for varied garden maintenance tasks. Powered by a reliable 25cc 2-stroke engine, this unit replaces four separate tools by offering a grass trimmer, brushcutter, pole pruner, and hedgecutter in one package. While its multi-functional design excels at efficiency, users should note that as a 2-stroke engine, it requires manual fuel-oil mixing and regular maintenance of the individual attachments to ensure peak performance.

FAQs

What fuel ratio should I use for the MT250C?

The MT250C uses a 2-stroke engine, which requires a fuel-to-oil mix. Consult your specific user manual for the exact ratio, commonly 40:1 or 50:1.

Can I use this tool for professional landscaping?

Yes, the MT250C is designed for both domestic and professional use, offering the durability required for regular maintenance.

Is the shaft adjustable for different heights?

The shaft is a fixed-length split shaft design, but the hedgecutter attachment features an articulating head to help reach different angles.

How often should I sharpen the hedge trimmer blades?

Sharpen as needed, typically when you notice the leaves are being torn rather than cut cleanly, or after significant use on woody stems.

Does the unit come with a harness?

Most variants of this model include a basic shoulder harness to help distribute the weight of the unit during operation.

Troubleshooting

Engine fails to start

Check that the ignition switch is in the ON position, verify fuel quality, and ensure the spark plug is clean and securely connected.

Excessive vibration during operation

Ensure all attachments are securely locked into the shaft and that the cutting head is not damaged or obstructed by debris.

Hedgecutter not cutting cleanly

Check the blades for sap or debris buildup and ensure the cutting edge has not become dull; sharpen or replace if necessary.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Saves significant storage space compared to owning four separate tools
Easy-to-change attachment system increases productivity
Powerful 25cc engine handles dense vegetation and thick branches
Articulating hedge trimmer offers great flexibility for shaping
Balanced weight distribution for improved ergonomics

Cons

Requires mixing petrol and 2-stroke oil manually
Heavier than a dedicated single-purpose grass trimmer
Requires more maintenance due to the mechanical complexity of multiple attachments

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Assembly: Attach the desired tool head to the split shaft using the locking mechanism until it clicks securely into place.
Fueling: Mix high-quality 2-stroke oil with unleaded petrol according to the manufacturer's specified ratio (typically 40:1 or 50:1, check your manual).
Maintenance: After each use, wipe down the engine housing to prevent debris buildup. Periodically sharpen the hedgecutter blades and inspect the trimmer head for worn line.
Storage: Always store the unit in a dry, covered area. If storing for more than 30 days, drain the fuel tank completely to prevent fuel degradation in the carburetor.
