Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
Your Clarissa II Quad sandals come ready to wear. The primary 'setup' involves adjusting the ankle strap for a comfortable and secure fit.
- Unbuckle the Strap: Open the buckle on the ankle strap.
- Slide Foot In: Place your foot into the sandal, ensuring it sits correctly within the footbed.
- Adjust Strap: Thread the strap through the buckle and adjust the length until it feels snug but not tight. You should be able to slide one finger between the strap and your ankle.
- Secure Buckle: Fasten the buckle. Repeat for the other sandal.
Compatibility
These sandals are incredibly versatile and can complement a wide range of fashion styles. They are particularly well-suited for:
- Casual Wear: Jeans, denim shorts, cargo shorts, or casual dresses.
- Edgy & Alternative Fashion: Black jeans, band t-shirts, leather jackets, or utilitarian styles.
- Summer & Spring Outfits: Light fabrics, flowy skirts, or sundresses for a contrasting look.
Care
Proper care will extend the life and maintain the appearance of your Dr. Martens Clarissa II Quad Platform Sandals, made with Milled Nappa leather.
- Regular Cleaning: Wipe down the leather with a damp cloth to remove dirt and dust. For more stubborn marks, use a dedicated leather cleaner according to product instructions.
- Conditioning: Apply a good quality leather conditioner or Dr. Martens Wonder Balsam regularly. This helps to keep the leather supple, prevents drying and cracking, and enhances its natural shine.
- Protection: Consider using a leather protector spray to guard against water and stains, especially before initial wear.
- Sole Care: Clean the PVC sole with a damp cloth and mild soap if necessary. Avoid harsh chemicals.
- Storage: When not in use, store your sandals in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. You can stuff them with tissue paper to help maintain their shape.
- Avoid Excessive Wetness: While the leather is durable, prolonged exposure to heavy rain or water can affect its integrity. If they get wet, allow them to air dry naturally away from direct heat sources.
