Product Information
Full details
The New Balance NB Tektrel trainers are designed for adult men seeking versatile footwear for off-road adventures. Their key benefit lies in the aggressive lug design and AT Tread outsole, offering confident traction on varied terrain. A potential caveat is that their specialized design might be less optimal for purely urban environments. These trainers feature a dynamic midsole for comfortable cushioning and a stylized upper for a modern look, making them suitable for both trail running and general outdoor activities.

FAQs
Are these shoes suitable for everyday walking?
Yes, while designed for trails, the cushioning and support make them comfortable for general walking. However, their aggressive tread may wear faster on hard pavement compared to shoes designed solely for urban use.
What is the main advantage of the AT Tread outsole?
The AT Tread outsole provides versatile traction, meaning it performs well on a variety of surfaces, both on and off the trail, giving you confidence in different conditions.
How do I determine my correct UK size?
Refer to the New Balance sizing chart available online or consult with a retailer. Ensure you measure your foot length accurately.
Can these trainers be used in wet weather?
The trainers offer decent performance in wet conditions due to their tread pattern, but they are not waterproof. For very wet conditions, consider waterproof socks or specific waterproof footwear.
What is the recommended use for the Tektrel series?
The Tektrel series is specifically built for trail running and outdoor adventures where reliable traction and cushioning are essential.
How often should I clean my Tektrel trainers?
Clean your trainers after particularly muddy or dirty use, or when they appear visibly soiled, following the care instructions provided.
Troubleshooting
Traction is reduced on wet surfaces
Ensure the AT Tread outsole is clean. Embedded debris can affect grip. For extremely slick surfaces, proceed with caution.
Discomfort during long runs
Verify the shoe size is correct and allow for a break-in period. Ensure laces are tied appropriately, not too tight or too loose.
Upper material showing wear
Avoid excessive abrasion against sharp objects. Clean gently as per care instructions to preserve the material.

Setup, Compatibility & Care
These trainers are ready to wear out of the box, requiring no specific setup. Their primary compatibility is with outdoor and trail activities.
Care Instructions:
- Cleaning: For general dirt, use a soft brush to remove loose debris. For tougher stains, wipe down with a damp cloth and mild soap. Avoid harsh chemicals.
- Drying: Allow the shoes to air dry naturally away from direct heat sources. Do not machine wash or tumble dry.
- Storage: Store in a cool, dry place when not in use to maintain their condition.
