The Desire Rugs Orbie Washable Area Rug is perfect for homeowners looking to add contemporary style and soft comfort to living rooms, bedrooms, or nurseries without the stress of difficult maintenance. Featuring a sophisticated machine-carved texture and a plush 20mm pile, it offers a luxurious feel underfoot while remaining highly practical thanks to its machine-washable design. One caveat is that its lightweight, foldable nature may require a non-slip pad on smooth floors to prevent movement.

Yes, the Orbie rug is designed to be machine washable for easy home maintenance.
Yes, but we strongly recommend using a rug pad underneath to prevent slipping and protect your floor finish.
The rug features a plush 20mm cut pile, providing a soft and comfortable feel underfoot.
No, this is an indoor-only rug; exposing it to outdoor elements may damage the materials and backing.
No, it is specifically designed for convenient machine washing at home.
Place a non-slip rug pad underneath the rug to increase friction and stability.
Lay the rug flat and allow it to settle for 24-48 hours; you can also gently steam or iron the underside on low heat.
Ensure the floor surface is clean and level; if on a rug pad, smooth the rug outward from the center.
Upon unpacking, roll out the rug and allow it a few hours to flatten completely. If creases persist, lightly misting the back or using a low-heat iron (on the reverse side) can help. To ensure safety, especially on hardwood or tiled surfaces, pair this rug with a high-quality non-slip rug pad to keep it firmly in place. For care, vacuum regularly using the upholstery attachment to protect the fibers, and machine wash on a gentle cycle as needed. Always allow the rug to air dry completely before placing it back on your floor to prevent moisture buildup under the backing.
