FAQs

Is this drive compatible with iPhones?

Yes, it is compatible with USB-C equipped iPhones (iPhone 15 series and later).

Do I need to install any software to use this?

No, the drive is plug-and-play and works immediately upon connection.

What file system should I use?

exFAT is recommended for the best balance of speed and compatibility across Windows, Mac, and Android.

Can I use this on a game console like a PS5 or Xbox?

Yes, it can be used for file storage, though check console-specific requirements for game installation drives.

Is the drive waterproof?

The zinc alloy housing is durable, but the drive is not rated as waterproof; keep it dry.

Troubleshooting

Drive not detected by the computer

Ensure the connector is fully inserted into the port. If using a phone case, ensure the case does not prevent the USB-C plug from seating correctly.

Slow transfer speeds

Verify that you are using a USB 3.0 or 3.2 compatible port. Check that the file system format is appropriate for your OS (e.g., exFAT for cross-platform compatibility).

Device becomes hot during use

The metal casing acts as a heatsink. If it becomes hot, stop the file transfer for a few minutes to allow it to cool.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Extremely fast read and write speeds up to 1000MB/s+
Dual-connector flexibility for modern and legacy devices
Sturdy metallic construction
Plug-and-play functionality across major operating systems
Protective sliding design eliminates the need for caps

Cons

Small physical size may be prone to loss
Higher performance may cause the metal housing to get warm during long transfers
Requires USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports to achieve maximum rated speeds

Setup, Compatibility & Care

The drive is truly plug-and-play, meaning no software or drivers are required to install before use on Windows, MacOS, or Android. Simply slide the mechanism to expose the desired connector and insert it into your device. To care for the drive, keep the connector retracted when not in use to protect it from dust. While the zinc alloy shell is durable, avoid exposing the drive to excessive liquid or extreme magnetic fields. If the drive becomes warm during a large transfer, this is normal behavior for high-speed NVMe-based flash drives; simply allow it a moment to cool down before storing it.
