FAQs

What is the primary purpose of Helawrap?

Helawrap is designed to bundle, protect, and organize cables, wires, and hoses, preventing tangles and damage.

Can Helawrap be used outdoors?

While durable, outdoor use is best in protected areas. Prolonged exposure to direct UV and extreme weather may degrade the material over time. Specific variants might offer better resistance.

How do I determine the correct size of Helawrap to use?

Consider the total diameter of the bundle of cables you need to secure. The Helawrap diameter (e.g., 2.5 cm) should comfortably accommodate your cable bundle, allowing for some expansion.

Is the applicator tool essential for installation?

The applicator tool significantly simplifies and speeds up the installation process, ensuring a neat finish. While manual application is possible, the tool is highly recommended for efficiency.

How many times can Helawrap be reapplied?

Helawrap is designed to be removed and reapplied multiple times. The exact number of reapplications depends on the frequency of removal and reinstallation, and the environmental conditions it is subjected to.

What are the 'HF' and 'RoHS' certifications?

'HF' typically means Halogen-Free, indicating the material does not contain halogens, which is beneficial for safety and environmental reasons. 'RoHS' (Restriction of Hazardous Substances) means the product complies with regulations restricting the use of certain hazardous materials.

Does this product come in other colors?

Yes, the Helawrap series is available in several colors, including Grey, Silver, and White, in addition to Black.

Troubleshooting

Helawrap is difficult to wrap around cables.

Ensure the applicator tool is correctly aligned with the Helawrap profile. If wrapping manually, ensure the profile is open enough to accommodate the cables.

Cables are slipping out of the Helawrap.

Check that the Helawrap is tensioned correctly around the bundle. Ensure the diameter selected is appropriate for the number and thickness of cables.

Applicator tool is not functioning correctly.

Inspect the tool for any obstructions or damage. Ensure it is being used as intended according to the instructions.

Helawrap feels too stiff in cold temperatures.

Allow the Helawrap to warm up to room temperature before attempting installation. Material properties can change with temperature.

Pros and Cons

Pros

  • Provides excellent bundling and protection for cables.
  • Installation is quick and simple, even for complex cable runs.
  • The ability to branch cables at any point offers great flexibility.
  • The product is reusable, reducing waste and cost over time.

Cons

  • May be overkill for very simple or low-demand cable organization needs.
  • Specific variants (like Polyamide 6 V0) are needed for high-fire-safety environments.
  • The 25m length might be too much for very small, single-use projects.

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Setup:

  1. Uncoil the Helawrap.
  2. Place the cables to be bundled inside the profile.
  3. Use the provided applicator tool to wrap the Helawrap around the cables, guiding it along the desired length.
  4. Continue wrapping until all cables are secured and the desired length is covered. The special profile allows for easy insertion of additional cables at any point.

Compatibility:

  • Suitable for bundling various types of cables, wires, and hoses.
  • Available in different diameters and materials (e.g., Polypropylene, Polyamide 6 V0) to suit specific environmental and safety requirements.
  • Compatible with accessories and similar cable management systems designed for flexible bundling.

Care:

  • Clean with a damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
  • Inspect periodically for any signs of wear or damage, especially in high-traffic areas.
  • If the Helawrap needs to be removed, simply unwrap it carefully. It can be reapplied to the same or a different bundle of cables.
