Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure the longevity of the jacket, keep the following guidelines in mind:
- Cleaning: Use a specialized technical cleaner suitable for waterproof-breathable fabrics. Avoid harsh detergents or fabric softeners, as these can strip the DWR finish.
- Re-proofing: If you notice water beads no longer form on the surface after a season of heavy use, apply a spray-on or wash-in DWR treatment to restore the repellent properties.
- Storage: Always ensure the jacket is completely dry before storing it in a closet to prevent moisture buildup or degradation of the taped seams.
- Layering: While the jacket is insulated, it is cut to allow for base layers underneath. For the best performance, wear moisture-wicking synthetic or wool base layers rather than cotton.
