FAQs
Can I wear these outside?
While they feature a durable EVA outsole, they are designed primarily as house shoes. Exposure to dirt and wet outdoor conditions may damage the faux-fur finish.
Does this sandal provide enough arch support?
Yes, it features Vionic's signature Vio Motion technology, which is engineered to provide medical-grade contoured arch support.
How should I clean the sandals?
Use a damp, soft cloth to spot-clean the faux-fur and the sole. Do not machine wash or dry, as this can damage the orthopedic footbed.
Are these true to size?
Vionic sandals generally run true to size. If you are between sizes or have wider feet, you may consider trying your standard size first, or checking the size guide.
What is the heel height of the Peppa slide?
The Peppa slide features a 1.875-inch heel with a 0.75-inch platform for added comfort.
Are these suitable for people with plantar fasciitis?
Many users find Vionic's contoured arch support helpful for symptoms of plantar fasciitis, but please consult a podiatrist for personal medical advice.
Troubleshooting
Feeling discomfort during the first few days of wear
This is normal if your feet are not used to arch support. Increase usage time gradually over 1-2 weeks.
Faux-fur straps becoming matted
Gently brush the faux-fur with a soft-bristle brush to restore the texture.
Pros and Cons
Pros
- Superior orthopedic arch support compared to standard slides
- Soft, comfortable faux-fur material
- Effective shock absorption for joint comfort
- Promotes healthy body alignment
- Easy slip-on design for quick convenience
Cons
- Open-toe design not ideal for cold or outdoor weather
- Requires initial break-in period for those new to orthotic footwear
- Faux-fur material can trap moisture or dirt if worn outside
Setup, Compatibility & Care
For the best results with your Vionic Peppa sandals, follow these guidelines:
- Break-in Period: If you are new to Vionic footwear, wear the sandals for a few hours at a time during the first week to allow your feet to adjust to the contoured arch support.
- Cleaning: Since the material is faux-fur, spot-clean gently with a damp cloth and mild soap if necessary. Avoid submerging the sandals in water to protect the structural integrity of the EVA sole.
- Compatibility: These are intended as indoor-priority sandals. While the EVA outsole is durable, excessive outdoor use in wet conditions may degrade the faux-fur aesthetic.
- Storage: Store in a cool, dry place to ensure the faux-fur remains fluffy and the arch support maintains its shape.
