FAQs
How long does the insulation keep water cold?
The double-walled insulation is designed to keep water cold twice as long as a standard bottle, ideal for longer durations in warm conditions.
Is the bottle dishwasher safe?
No, the CamelBak Podium Chill Water Bottle is hand wash only. Dishwasher use can damage the insulation and materials.
Can I use this bottle for hot beverages?
No, this bottle is not designed for hot beverages. It is intended for cold water or sports drinks.
How do I clean the Jet Valve?
The nozzle can be removed from the cap for easier cleaning. Use warm water and mild soap, ensuring all parts of the valve mechanism are rinsed thoroughly.
What materials is the bottle made from?
The bottle is made from BPA & BPS free Truetaste Polypropylene with Hydroguard technology.
What is the volume of this specific bottle?
This specific model is the 600ml (21oz) version. It is also available in a 700ml (24oz) size.
Does the lockout feature prevent all leaks?
The positive lockout cap provides a leak-proof seal for transport. The self-sealing Jet Valve also prevents spills during use, but it opens when squeezed.
Troubleshooting
Bottle leaks despite the self-sealing valve.
Ensure the cap is fully tightened and the lockout is engaged. Check the nozzle for any debris or damage that might prevent a proper seal. Make sure the bottle is not overfilled.
Water flow is restricted.
Ensure the lockout cap is in the open position. Check the nozzle for any obstructions. Squeeze the bottle more firmly; a stronger squeeze yields higher flow.
Plastic taste in the water.
Wash the bottle thoroughly with warm, soapy water and rinse completely. Allow it to air dry. For persistent taste, try soaking with baking soda and water, then rinsing well.
Bottle doesn't fit cage securely.
While designed for standard cages, some variations exist. Try adjusting the cage tension if possible, or consider a different cage type for a more secure fit.
