FAQs
Are these shoes true to size?
Yes, they generally fit true to size. If you prefer a wider fit, some users find moving up half a size comfortable.
Can I use these for running?
While they feature Air Max cushioning, they are primarily designed as lifestyle trainers rather than performance running shoes.
How do I keep the Volt highlights bright?
Keep the shoes away from excessive dust and avoid using harsh chemical cleaners on the colored components.
What is the material composition of the upper?
The upper uses a mix of synthetic, textile, and sometimes leather overlays depending on the specific model variation.
Is the Air unit prone to popping?
Nike Air units are durable and engineered for long-term use, but avoid walking on sharp objects to maintain the integrity of the unit.
Troubleshooting
Creasing in the toe box
Use a shoe tree when not wearing to help the material maintain its shape.
Dirt accumulation in wavy overlays
Use a soft toothbrush to gently clear debris from the grooves of the overlays.
Squeaking sounds while walking
Remove the insole and ensure there is no debris underneath; moisture in the footbed can also be a cause.

Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure your Air Max 97 sneakers remain in top condition, follow these guidelines:
- Breaking In: Wear them for short durations initially to allow the structure to adapt to your foot shape.
- Cleaning: Use a soft-bristled brush with a mild, soap-based solution to spot clean the upper. Avoid machine washing or submerging the shoes in water, as this can degrade the adhesives.
- Storage: Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to prevent color fading of the Volt accents.
- Compatibility: These sneakers feature a standard fit for adult UK sizing; verify your specific UK size for the best fit, as the wavy design can feel snug across the midfoot.
