FAQs

Is this jacket waterproof?

It is showerproof, meaning it can handle light rain, but it is not designed to keep you dry in heavy or sustained rainfall.

Can I machine wash this bomber jacket?

Yes, it is generally machine washable, but you must follow the care label instructions to protect the padding and water-resistant finish.

What is the fit of the XXL size?

The XXL provides a comfortable, generous fit that is ideal for wearing over layers while maintaining a tailored look due to the back dart.

Are the pockets secure?

Yes, the outer pockets feature popper fasteners, and there is an internal pocket for additional security.

Is the lining made of recycled materials?

Yes, the jacket features a recycled fabric lining as part of its construction.

Troubleshooting

Water soaking through during heavy rain

The jacket is showerproof, not waterproof; avoid heavy downpours and consider reapplying a fabric-safe water-repellent spray if effectiveness wanes.

Cuffs or collar losing elasticity

Avoid overstretching the ribbed cuffs and store on a hanger to prevent pressure points that can deform the knit.

Wrinkles in the fabric

Use a garment steamer on a low setting, ensuring you do not touch the iron directly to the synthetic outer material.

Pros and Cons

Pros

  • Versatile design suitable for casual and semi-formal wear
  • Lightweight insulation provides warmth without heaviness
  • Secure storage with multiple internal and external pockets
  • Tailored fit thanks to back dart construction

Cons

  • Not intended for heavy or prolonged rain exposure
  • Limited to transitional weather rather than deep winter
  • Requires careful cleaning to maintain water-resistant coating

Setup, Compatibility & Care

As a garment, no complex setup is required. To maintain the showerproof capabilities and the integrity of the padding, follow these care guidelines:

  1. Cleaning: Always check the internal garment label for specific washing instructions. Use a gentle cycle with a mild detergent.
  2. Drying: Air dry naturally away from direct heat sources to prevent damage to the padded insulation.
  3. Storage: Hang the jacket on a sturdy hanger to maintain the shape provided by the back dart and to avoid creasing the fabric.
  4. Compatibility: The jacket pairs well with standard casual attire. Its XXL sizing offers a generous fit, suitable for layering over thick sweatshirts or sweaters.
