FAQs

Is the hood removable?

No, the hood is integrated into the design for maximum protection against wind and rain.

Can I wear this in winter?

The coat is a waterproof shell. It can be worn in winter if paired with a warm mid-layer or fleece underneath.

How should I wash my raincoat?

Machine wash on a gentle cycle with cold water and mild detergent. Do not bleach or use softeners.

What does Bluesign product mean?

It means the textile production process meets high environmental, health, and safety standards.

Are the pockets waterproof?

The pockets are designed with secure zips for protection, but they are not fully waterproof submersible compartments.

Troubleshooting

Water begins to soak into the outer fabric

The DWR coating has likely worn off. Wash the coat and tumble dry on low heat, or apply a fresh DWR waterproofing spray.

Moisture buildup inside the coat during use

Ensure the front zipper is fully closed and the adjustable cuffs are cinched. If it is humid, adjust your base layer to a moisture-wicking synthetic fabric to improve breathability.

Pros and Cons

Pros

High-quality waterproof and windproof performance
Versatile, classic design suitable for professional and casual settings
Breathable construction prevents overheating during movement
Secure storage with zippered external and internal pockets
Environmentally conscious Bluesign product

Cons

Designed primarily for urban use rather than extreme wilderness conditions
Limited ventilation compared to highly technical shell jackets
Requires periodic DWR maintenance to maintain water-beading capabilities

Setup, Compatibility & Care

To maximize the lifespan of your raincoat, follow these care guidelines:

Cleaning: Wash in a machine on a gentle cycle using mild detergent. Avoid fabric softeners as they can damage the DWR coating.
Drying: Tumble dry on low heat. The heat from the dryer helps reactivate the DWR coating on the fabric.
Maintenance: If water stops beading on the surface, apply a spray-on or wash-in DWR treatment to restore the water-repellent finish.
Storage: Always store the coat in a dry area. Use the built-in internal hanging loop to prevent the hood or collar from losing its shape.
