The hand-waxed leather provides water resistance for light rain and spray, but it is not a fully waterproof garment for heavy downpours.
Clean only with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use soap or detergent as this will damage the wax finish.
Yes, the jacket is designed to develop a unique patina through wear, which is considered a hallmark of high-quality, hand-waxed leather.
Yes, the jacket features a buckled collar strap that allows you to adjust the closure for added wind protection.
Use a wide-shoulder hanger to maintain the jacket's shape and keep it in a well-ventilated, dry area.
Leather requires a break-in period; wear it regularly to allow the material to soften and conform to your body shape.
This indicates the wax finish has worn down; re-apply a high-quality leather wax treatment to restore water resistance.
Because this is a hand-waxed garment, initial setup involves simply finding your ideal size to ensure the gussets allow for proper movement. For long-term care, avoid machine washing or dry cleaning, as this will strip the wax treatment. Use a soft, damp cloth to wipe down the exterior after heavy use. To maintain water resistance, apply a recommended leather wax dressing periodically. Store the jacket on a sturdy wooden hanger in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to prevent the leather from drying out or fading.
