The elastic laces are designed to stretch, allowing for easy foot entry and removal without needing to be tied. They work in conjunction with the hook-and-loop strap to provide a secure fit.

The trainers feature a coated mesh upper with synthetic elements for durability, a fabric and textile lining, a springy foam midsole for comfort, and a tough rubber tread for traction.

No, it is not recommended to machine wash these trainers. For cleaning, gently wipe them down with a damp cloth and mild soap, then allow them to air dry.

The Nike Cosmic Runner 4 trainers are ideal for everyday casual wear, playground activities, and light athletic pursuits due to their comfort and durable design. For specialized sports, dedicated performance footwear might be more appropriate.

Always measure your child's foot and refer to Nike's official sizing chart for children's UK sizes. Ensure there is a thumb's width of space between the longest toe and the end of the shoe for optimal comfort and growth.

Ensure the hook-and-loop strap is adjusted correctly. For a snug fit, pull it firmly. For more room, loosen it slightly. Always check the child's foot size against Nike's sizing guide to ensure the correct initial fit.

For stubborn dirt, use a soft brush or old toothbrush with a mixture of mild soap and warm water. Gently scrub the affected areas of the coated mesh and synthetic elements. Wipe clean with a damp cloth and air dry.

Inspect the rubber tread for any embedded debris like small stones or mud that might be reducing grip. Clean the tread thoroughly. Ensure the shoes are worn on appropriate surfaces as they are designed for general use, not specialized traction requirements.

Check the hook-and-loop material for lint, dirt, or fuzz buildup. Clean it with a stiff brush or by hand to restore its gripping capability. If the material is significantly worn, consult for possible replacement options or consider professional repair.

While the foam midsole offers comfort, prolonged wear for very active children can sometimes cause fatigue. Ensure socks are appropriate and not bunching. If discomfort persists, check if the shoes are still the correct size or if insoles might be needed for additional support.
