The Asics Gel-Pulse 17 trainers are designed for adult male runners seeking a blend of superior comfort and reliable performance on paved surfaces. With advanced GEL cushioning and a durable outsole, these shoes provide essential support for daily training; however, they are specifically engineered for road and asphalt use rather than technical trail running.

Yes, the Gel-Pulse 17 is designed for sustained comfort, making it a reliable choice for long-distance road training.
These shoes are optimized for road and asphalt. We recommend specific trail models for uneven or rocky terrain.
Generally, running shoes should be replaced every 300 to 500 miles, depending on your running surface and intensity.
The trainers are breathable but not waterproof. They may absorb water in heavy rain.
While comfortable out of the box, it is recommended to take a few short walks or light runs to let the cushioning adapt to your foot shape.
There should be about a thumb's width of space between your longest toe and the front of the shoe.
Ensure your laces are not overly tight and verify that your arch type matches the shoe's support profile.
Check the tread for debris or buildup and wipe the soles with a damp cloth to restore grip.
To ensure the best performance from your Asics Gel-Pulse 17, begin by wearing the shoes with proper running socks to verify the fit at the 10.5 UK size. Proper lacing ensures the ergonomic features align with your arch. For care, avoid machine washing; instead, remove loose dirt with a soft brush and clean surface stains using a damp cloth with mild soap. Allow the shoes to air dry naturally away from direct heat sources to preserve the integrity of the cushioning foam.
