Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
- Preparation: Ensure your feet are clean and dry. It's recommended to wear thin football socks for the best fit with laceless boots.
- Putting On: Slide your foot into the boot, using the pull tabs if available. Due to the laceless design, the initial entry might feel snug. Wiggle your foot to ensure it's fully seated within the boot.
- Fit Check: The boots should feel snug and secure, like a second skin, without excessive pressure points or heel slippage. The laceless flat knit collar is designed to lock your foot in place.
- Break-in: Allow for a short break-in period, typically a few training sessions, for the materials to adapt to your foot shape for optimal comfort and performance.
Compatibility
These boots are specifically designed for Firm Ground (FG) surfaces. This means they are optimal for use on natural grass pitches that are firm or slightly damp. Using them on artificial turf (AG), hard ground (HG), or indoor surfaces is not recommended as it can damage the studs, reduce performance, and may void any warranty. Always check the playing surface before use.
Care
To ensure longevity and maintain performance, follow these care instructions:
- Cleaning: After each use, remove loose dirt and mud by gently tapping the boots together. Use a soft brush or damp cloth to wipe down the upper and soleplate. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
- Drying: Allow the boots to air dry naturally at room temperature. Do not expose them to direct sunlight or use artificial heat sources (e.g., radiators, hair dryers) as this can damage the materials.
- Storage: Store your boots in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Consider using boot trees or stuffing them with newspaper to help retain their shape and absorb moisture.
- Inspection: Regularly inspect studs for wear and tear. While designed for durability, consistent play on very hard ground can accelerate wear.
